Graduation rates meet or exceed citywide graduation rates

DRIHSCS has exceeded the NYC four-year (August) graduation rate for every class from 2022 through 2025. Our rate climbed from 89.9% for the Class of 2022 to a high of 95.0% for the Class of 2024, while the citywide rate slipped from 83.5% to 80.9% over the same span — widening our advantage from 6.4 points to as much as 12.2 points.

Middle school proficiency is climbing fast — in every subject

From 2023-24 to 2025-26, proficiency rose in ELA, Math, and 8th grade Science — and the growth wasn't limited to one class or one year. It built year over year, across every grade band.

  • 7th grade Math nearly quadrupled — from 15% to 62% proficient, the strongest single-grade gain in the school.
  • 8th grade Science proficiency more than tripled in two years, the largest single-subject gain of the three.
  • Every grade band in ELA and Math improved every year — this is broad-based growth, not one standout cohort.
