Early Medical Exposure Programming Opportunities
Our institutional partner, Urban Health Plan, provides our students with a variety of exposure, experiences and support to spark their interest in the medical field:
6th Grade Field Trip to Urban Health Plan: All students attend in Grade 6
UHP’s Club Tia Sex Education Course: Provided to 9th and 10th Graders
Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant Shadow Experience: 11th Graders
Partnership with CUNY School of Medicine
We are thankful to partner with CUNY School of Medicine to provide additional early medical exposure programming and support for our scholars, including:
Junior Medical Ambassadors’ Program: Free Saturday programming for middle school students who learn directly from doctors and current medical students on the CUNY medical school campus
High School students are encouraged and supported to apply for other medical exposure programs at CUNY School of Medicine including the Health Professionals Recruitment and Exposure Program as well as the Health Professionals Mentorship Program
